Capacity Building Session – ADHD in Clinical Practice (Becky Pycko)
Written by Dr Charlotte Rothwell
On 23rd March 2026, the NAMASTE team welcomed Becky Pycko to deliver a highly engaging online workshop on ‘ADHD in Clinical Practice.
Becky is a Mental Health Nurse with 14 years of clinical experience in NHS Children and Young People Mental Health Services (CAMHS). She has held various positions, and her most recent role was as clinical lead for an ADHD team within CAMHS.
She is currently pursuing a PhD while working as a Senior Research Nurse at the University of Manchester, collaborating with Dr. Shruti Garg and Dr. Kathy Leadbitter.
The session ‘ADHD in Clinical Practice’ provided an overview of ADHD from a clinical perspective – focusing on the common presentations, interventions, complications and joys of this work.
The session was very well attended with 32 delegates taking part across four countries globally: India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom. Participants ranged from postgraduate students and early career researchers to senior colleagues and included both research and non-research colleagues. The diverse mix of attendees enabled a dynamic question and answer session at the end of the workshop.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks once again to Becky for supporting our ongoing capacity building activities! We look forward to continuing to provide opportunities for learning and professional development in the future.
